This is my story.
I was born in Walters Falls, just a short drive from Owen Sound, ON Canada. Except for a few years living in the coastal mountains of Oregon, U.S.A., Ontario has been my home base.
Growing up, my father taught me how to paint, fix things and work with my hands, and my mother introduced me to the world of health and healing. Looking back on my early years I can see how their involvement in my life helped shape the health professional I now am.
The human body has always fascinated me. Along with this fascination I was troubled by the physical pain I saw people dealing with on a day to day basis. For years I asked myself if chronic pain and restricted movement were an inevitable part of life. My 8 years of hands on experience, teaching at the college level and continuing my own research and education has convinced me that they do not need to be.
Since becoming a massage therapist in 2008, I’ve searched for the most efficient and non-invasive pain relief techniques out there. This search has exposed me to breakthrough therapies that are redefining how professionals in my field view and treat pain in the body.
As a massage therapist I’ve had the opportunity to work with hundreds of people across Canada, assisting them in their search for better health. And as an educator and health blogger, I’m dedicated to sharing information that inspires healthy life choices.
When I’m not working or studying I enjoy spending time with my incredible wife and family, volunteering, going for bike rides, and making chocolate.
